PAF – Postcode Address File
This file contains the correctly formatted address of the 26 million addresses in the UK. The PAF file does contain some business addresses as well as residential. It is supplied by Royal Mail and is updated regularly. Checking your data against the PAF file, will ensure that your addresses are formatted correctly for Royal Mail, which should reduce the number of gone-aways that you get back from your mailing. In turn, this may have a positive impact on your response rates.

Deduplication
ActuallyDP utilises the latest software to remove duplicate records from your mailings. This immediately saves you money from your mailing as you reduce production and mailing costs. We use fuzzy logic to deduplicate mailing files, this means that records like Anthony Fawkes and Tony Fawkes will match. We can deduplicate files at different levels including; family, business and household

Suppression
Mailing contacts who have died or who have moved away or who have registered through the mailing preference service (MPS) will only decrease response rates and generate unhappy customers. ActuallyDP can help reduce this by screening your data against suppression data like the MPS. Equifax have released a file, (disconnect), of over 25 million records that contains gone aways and deceased records, this is regarded as the most comprehensive database of gone aways.
